Dorsch Consult asia Co., Ltd. as part of the SCS Consortium was awarded by the Airport Authority of Thailand (AOT) on 25th August the construction supervision of the first expansion phase of Suvarnabhumi Airport, Thailand including
- A new satellite building with additional 28 boarding bridges and Apron Facilities
- APM Automated People Mover to connect Terminal and Satellite
- BHS Baggage Handling System
- Main Terminal and Office expansion
- Additional Car Parking
The airport capacity will be increased from 45 to over 60 MAP. The total construction value of the expansion phase to be supervised amounts to 48 billion THB (1.37 billion USD). The construction is estimated to last about three years to be completed in 2019. The STS consortium will provide construction supervision services including

- Contract & Claims Management
- Special Systems
Suvarnabhumi Airport ranks already as one of the 20 busiest and 7th largest airports in the world and will have now the potential to rank higher in the years to come.
