Project Measures
Iconic
The building must have an iconic element that sets it apart from surrounding buildings especially the adjacent School giving it a unique identity. The design shall have a warm and welcoming feel for the users and visitors.
Simplicity
Simple masses and blocks creating a visual harmony with the open spaces in between masses. The interior design will follow a modest approach to create a calm environment for learning.
Sustainability
The design must be climate-responsive and energy-efficient with well-shaded open spaces. It should address both elements - operational and structural embodied energy constituting energy-efficient materials.
Functionality
The building must be designed by accommodating all the functions of a modern international school and create a safe environment for children to grow and learn. The connections between the different functions of the school should be well handled.
Social Connectivity
In a school special care needs to be taken when designing the spaces outside the classroom as well where children learn to play and communicate. Ample space for extracurricular activities must be thought of as well as sports facilities.
