Denmark: Fehmarn Belt rail and road tunnel project promoter Femern A/S has appointed SNC-Lavalin Group company Atkins to provide multi-disciplinary consultancy services for the construction of the 18km fixed link between Denmark and Germany in the next 8 years.
Atkins signed contract in April 2020 with GRE German Rail Engineering to support work on the trackworks, electrification, power supply, signalling, train control, and telecoms for the parts in Denmark and Germany.
