Despite Kosovo's advanced legal and regulatory framework in the water sector, regional water companies still struggle with operating sustainably. Especially in rural areas, water supply systems are often lacking. In order to improve this situation and to provide sustainable water supply to local residents,
Dorsch, together with local partner Community Development Initiatives (an important Kosovo NGO), has implemented the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Support Programme (RWSSP). The project has been co-funded by the Swiss Government and the Government of Kosovo.
In the course of this, the Team Leader of the project Mr. Alan Brown was now a guest of KohaVision in a TV-interview, where he talked about the goals of the program.
On the 15th of March 2022 a closing event was held at Emerald Hotel in Prishtina, attended by both the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti and the Swiss Ambassador, Mr. Thomas Kolly.
