Description
The consortium between GRE - Gauff Rail Engineering GmbH & Co. KG and JBG - H.P. Gauff Ingenieure was commissioned by WiföG in 2010 with the overall planning for the new construction of the railway overpass for the access track to the transhipment terminal.
The subject of the project is the construction of a transhipment terminal for combined transport in Burghausen. The planned facility is a technical and operational interface between road and rail transport with the aim of transferring long-distance goods transport from road to rail using standardised loading units.
Due to the routing of the siding to the terminal, the Alz Canal has to be crossed with a pronounced bridge incline. Further constraints are the upper edge of the rails to be stopped and the lower edge of the neighbouring bridges.
A deep-founded frame structure in reinforced concrete construction is planned for the crossing of the tracks. Due to the low construction height, a solid roadway is absolutely necessary on the structure.
Dimensions:
Clear width: 19.5 m
Clear height: > 0.40 m above water level
Length: approx. 26.5 m
Total width: 7.1 m
Angle of crossing: 68.9 gon
