Description

Petroleum product spills are an undesirable but unavoidable result of U.S. forces’ activities in Kosovo within the Operation Joint Forge.

Rapid and solid spill response and soils disposal is critical in containment and remediation of any contamination in order to prevent severe environmental damages. As a consequence DORSCH CONSULT has been retained to provide spill response services in Kosovo.

Upon receiving a notice of a spill an emergency spill response team provides all actions and equipment necessary to respond to spills of various sizes within a short time.

Appropriate spill response may comprise visual inspection and marking out of the area, traffic and access restriction, PID measurements, containment / cleanup / excavation, sampling and testing, cleanup success measurements and disposal.

The events resulting in the spill and the actions taken on site for containment and further action are documented.
